Advent is here!

The Advent course runs on Tuesdays  in the Church Rooms. We will be studying the gospel of Luke with the help of Tom Wright’s book ‘Advent for Everyone’. The evening will begin with coffee and cake at 7.30pm, breaking into groups at 7.45, finishing by 9pm. Please let Catherine know if you are planning to attend (or if you would like more information) on 895920 or cmgeddes0@gmail.com. The church will be supplying the books. If anyone who is unable to attend would like a book, please let Catherine know.

Railway Station Carol singing - Join Churches Together carol singing and handing out Christmas literature. Wednesday 17 December; 5:45 pm for a 6pm start.



Carols by Candlelight - following our traditional service on Sunday 16th December we will be serving mince pies and mulled wine. Please let Beverly know if you are able to donate a few mince pies. Vegetarian/vegan mince pies have already been offered.



Andover Food Bank



Please help by donating any of the following to help prepare hampers for the Andover Food Bank to distribute:

Crisps, nuts, cheese biscuits , Tinned of ham ,Christmas cakes, Tins of fancy biscuits, Hot chocolate/marshmallows, Chocolate coins, Christmas puddings, Tins/packs of custard, Stuffing, gravy, bread sauce, Sweet selection tins or packs, Christmas crackers, Your choice of Christmas treat! Please NO alcohol.

There is a large box in the Church porch waiting for your gifts!

We should also like to donate filled shoe boxes for distribution by the Food Bank. These can also be left in the porch ~ please indicate whether gifts are for boy or girl and an age range. Thank you for your generosity.

YOUNG CHURCH BUILDERS

What you’d probably know as Sunday School we call Young Church Builders. We meet most* Sunday mornings from 10am (i.e. before the service starts) in the Church Rooms attached to All Hallows. 

At YCB we take children from 3 to 11 years and aim to provide music, singing, Bible stories and fun activities appropriate to their age. 

If you would like to join us on a Sunday morning, please pop in and see what we get up to. We are always happy to have new children in YCB.

Over the summer holidays there is no YCB.  Please help yourself to an activity bag (located in the carpeted area near the font) which should keep younger children occupied should their attention wander! Children are also welcome to use the Church Room (under your supervision) during the service. Please speak to our sidespeople if you want to know where things are.

BABIES AND TODDLERS

Children are very welcome at our Service, whether they stay with you in the pew, stretch their legs in the carpeted area by the font or join YCB in the Church Rooms, where they may play with the toys (under the supervision of their carers) and are welcome to join in with YCB as and when they feel like it.

Toddlers are also welcome to play quietly (again under supervision) in the carpeted font area during the Service, but please note that their voices will carry during the quieter parts of the Service.

The activity bags (located in the carpeted area) should keep your children occupied if they aren’t in YCB.
