Reverend David Michael Roche was licenced as ‘Priest in Charge of the Benefice of Whitchurch with Tufton and Lichfield’ at a service at All Hallows on Wednesday 16 May 2018. The service was conducted in front of a packed church by the Bishop of Basingstoke, the Right Reverend David Williams. In an interesting ‘sermon’ the Bishop paid much thoughtful – and often humorous – homage to the history of Whitchurch and its foundations before the Presentations, Declarations and Oaths that led to the signing of the legal documents.

Welcome messages were passed from to representatives of the local community. The town website features the event.
